Website Maintenance & Support for Minnesota Businesses
Your site is yours. We just keep it running. Hosting, updates, security monitoring, and on-demand support so you can focus on your business, not your website.
Your Website Needs Attention After Launch Too
Launching a website is not the end of the project — it is the beginning of an ongoing responsibility. WordPress core, plugins, and themes release updates on a regular basis. Security vulnerabilities get patched. PHP versions change. Hosting environments evolve. A site that is not actively maintained falls behind, and a site that falls behind becomes a liability: slower, less secure, and increasingly likely to break in ways that are expensive to fix after the fact.
For most small business owners, staying on top of all of this is not a reasonable expectation. You have a business to run. That is where MWS comes in. Our maintenance and support plans are designed to keep your site healthy, secure, and up to date without you having to think about it. You retain full ownership of your site, your code, and your content — we are simply the people who make sure everything keeps working the way it should.
Plans start at $50 per month and include managed Cloudways hosting. For clients who need regular content updates, design changes, or more involved ongoing work, we scope additional support based on your specific needs. For businesses that already have a site hosted elsewhere or need one-off help, we offer that too.
What a Maintenance Plan Covers
Managed Cloudways Hosting
All maintenance plans include hosting on Cloudways — a managed cloud platform with automatic backups, strong uptime, and the performance headroom a growing small business needs.
WordPress Core and Plugin Updates
We keep WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated on a regular basis, reducing security exposure and ensuring compatibility across your site.
Security Monitoring
We monitor your site for security threats and flag anything that needs attention, so vulnerabilities are caught and addressed before they cause real problems.
Uptime Monitoring
If your site goes down, we know about it quickly. Uptime monitoring means issues are identified and addressed without waiting for a customer to tell you something is wrong.
On-Request Content and Design Help
Need a page updated, a new section added, or a design tweak made? We are available for ongoing work beyond routine maintenance, scoped and quoted before any work starts.
Automatic Backups
Your site is backed up automatically through Cloudways, so if something goes wrong, restoring to a clean state is straightforward.

Get a Free DemoSupport for Sites We Did Not Build
Most of our maintenance clients are on sites MWS built and host on Cloudways. That setup is designed to work well together, and it makes ongoing support straightforward. But we also work with clients who have existing WordPress sites built by someone else, hosted somewhere else, or inherited from a previous vendor.
Existing Sites on Other Hosting
If you have a WordPress site hosted elsewhere and want to move it to a managed plan with MWS, we can handle the migration to Cloudways and bring it into our standard maintenance workflow. If you prefer to stay on your current host, we can discuss what support looks like in that context — though our standard plan pricing assumes Cloudways hosting.
One-Off and Ad Hoc Work
Not every request fits a monthly retainer. If you need a specific fix, a content update, a plugin resolved, or a technical issue diagnosed, we are available for ad hoc work billed at an hourly rate in 15-minute increments. For larger one-off projects, we provide a scope and quote upfront so you know the cost before we start. Reach out and we will figure out the right approach for your situation.
In either case, you retain full ownership of your site and everything on it. MWS does not hold your code, your content, or your domain hostage to a service relationship. If you ever want to move on or bring your site in-house, we make that straightforward.
What Happens When a Site Goes Without Maintenance
A neglected website does not fail all at once. It degrades gradually — and often invisibly, until something breaks badly enough for a customer to notice or a search ranking to drop.
Outdated plugins are one of the most common entry points for WordPress security breaches. An unpatched vulnerability in a plugin you installed two years ago and forgot about can give an attacker access to your site, your contact form submissions, or worse. WordPress core updates address security issues on a regular basis, and sites that fall multiple versions behind become increasingly exposed.
Performance is another casualty of deferred maintenance. Hosting environments change. PHP versions that powered your site efficiently a few years ago may now be end-of-life. Plugins that were lean when you installed them may have ballooned over subsequent updates. A site that loaded in two seconds at launch can creep toward five or six without anyone noticing — until Google does.
None of this is meant to be alarming. It is just the reality of running a website on a platform that is actively developed and widely deployed. Consistent, routine maintenance is far less expensive than emergency fixes after something goes wrong. Our blog post on website maintenance as a business safety issue goes deeper on this if you want the full picture. Or schedule a free demo and we will take a look at where your site stands today.

Yes, completely. Your site, your code, your content, and your domain belong to you. MWS hosts and maintains your site as a service — if you ever want to move your site elsewhere or bring it in-house, we make that process straightforward. There are no lock-in arrangements and no proprietary systems that would prevent you from taking your site with you.
Yes. We work with existing WordPress sites built by other developers or agencies. Depending on how the site was built and where it is currently hosted, we may recommend migrating to Cloudways as part of setting up a maintenance plan. For sites that are not a good fit for our standard plan, we can discuss ad hoc support options instead.
Ad hoc work is available for clients who do not need or want an ongoing plan. We bill hourly in 15-minute increments for smaller tasks, and provide a written scope and quote for larger one-off projects before any work begins. Reach out through our contact page and we will figure out the right approach.
For clients on a maintenance plan, we respond to site issues as a priority and have access to your automatic backups to restore a clean version of the site if needed. For clients not on a plan, we handle recovery work on an ad hoc basis, scoped and quoted before we start. Consistent maintenance significantly reduces the likelihood of both security incidents and unexpected failures.
